Volunteer for Campaigns

We volunteer for candidates’ campaigns at every level—from School Committee to President of the United States. We volunteer to advocate for legislation and ballot questions. We register voters. We develop campaign materials and write letters to the editor. We collect signatures, knock on doors, telephone voters, hold signs, and talk to people.
Studies have shown that the most effective way to raise awareness, change minds, and win votes is direct voter contact—talking with people at their doors and over the phone. During these conversations, we provide information and share our opinions about a candidate or ballot question. We encourage voters to go to the polls—not just for presidential elections but also for local and state elections, primaries, and special elections. Our work to GET OUT THE VOTE can make the critical difference.
We also organize these activities, enlist volunteers, and track results. Some might work as campaign managers or paid staffers—or even run for office—but most of us do not. We take great satisfaction from contributing our time and effort to make a difference for causes or candidates that
